Hi, it’s me, Julia, obviously! Unless I were secretly a robot sneaking onto this account, but what are the chances of that? Okay, I do have a robot!!!! But that’s not the point.

Since I haven’t been on in FOREVER, I am going to finish up talking about the Australian Open. Because I’m just THAT awesome. This is our second snow day in a row, so I am PUMPED, yo!

Can you guess who I wanted to win the women’s final? I’m going to try not to show favoritism for this one, but for the men’s, I can’t help it! See if you can guess who I wanted to win for the women and write it in a comment below!

Serena Williams vs. Justine Henin

Serena Williams: 6-4, 3-6, 6-2

So, as you have probably heard by now, or not… Serena Williams won the Australian Open against Justine Henin. When I first saw this match-up, I, and every other tennis fan in the world, was ready for a REAL match. Did you know that this match was the first time a women’s final has gone to three sets in, well, forever!?! The last final was in 2005! I was surprised when I heard this and went screaming it around the house… yeah. I was excited to have a real match, as you can tell!

I meant to post this a long time ago, so I am just going to give you the ending scores. Serena Williams won 6-4, 3-6, 6-2. Henin was on a roll the second set to the beginning of the third set, but couldn’t keep it up. Serena Williams picked up her game in fear of losing and ended up taking Justine Henin in a pretty easy third set. Henin won the first two games in the third set, and those were the last games she won in the championship. Serena Williams now has 11 Grand Slam singles titles.

The 21 year old, Marin Cilic, took out both del Potro and Roddick at this year’s Australian Open. Although he was defeated by Andy Murray in the semifinals, this kid has potential. He ousted del Potro in 5 sets: 5-7, 7-5, 6-4, 5-7, 6-3. Marin Cilic, from Croatia, won his first ATP match against del Potro. Both Cilic and del Potro are only five days apart, del Potro being the older. Also like del Potro, Cilic is a giant, towering over a lot of the players at 6’6″ (del Potro being the same height).

In the next round, Cilic took out Andy Roddick in the quarters in another five-set triumph. The score: 7-6 (4), 6-3, 3-6, 2-6, 6-3.

So, the bottom line is, watch out for this 21 year old Croat!

I think I know what it was. I didn’t put her name in the song. I think I need to consider some new lyrics. Today, Kim Clijsters lost a brutal 6-0 6-1 match against Nadia Petrova. She just wasn’t on her game. I don’t know what happened with her at all. People can just have bad days.

Here are the NEW song lyrics to my untitled song:

The Australian OPENNNNNN
And I don’t have a TOKENNNNN
To buy a ticket
No, there is not a cricket.
Federer is playing
And I am busy praying…

The Australian Open…da na na na na na na na.
The Australian Open…da na na…na na…na na.
We’ve got…
Federer and Djokovic,
Murray and Roddick!
Henin and Sveta,
Don’t forget the Williams sisters and
NADAL!!!!

Boy, am I having a ball!

OK, I really only added 2 names to that, but whatever. Most of the people, like Oudin, Sharapova, and Clijsters are all out. 😦 GUESS WHAT??? I am writing an article about Melanie Oudin for Comm Arts!!!!! I am SOOOOO excited!!!! Well, I actually already started writing it. I’m working on the rough draft. Yeah. But this is TOTALLY off topic!!!!

Here is “me” with Roger Federer!!!!!

Pickles!!!

OK, this post really has nothing to do with pickles. But it is about the Australian Open!!! I am now watching the Federer match on DVR!!!!! Oh, I just love technology….. but anyways, Roger Federer is…um, what’s the word??? I really do forget but he’s doing REALLY, REALLY, REALLY, REALLY (times infinity…and BEYOND) well!!!!! GREAT drop shot!!!! (He just hit a drop shot…in case you couldn’t tell)

I created a new song for people to hear. It is about the Australian Open (please don’t laugh at this… I’m making it up on the spot… tehe)

The Australian OPENNNNNN
And I don’t have a TOKENNNNN
To buy a ticket
No, there is not a cricket.
Federer is playing
And I am busy praying…

The Australian Open…da na na na na na na na.

Yeah, so that was my song. I will sing it for you sometime… yeah. Perhaps I will sing it now and record it and stuffs. Yeah….

Comment t’appelles tu? Comment ca va? Moi, je m’appelle Julia. Ca va tres bien!!! Ou, comme ci, comme ca. A tout a l’heure! J’ai ecole!

Yeah, so here is the translation: What is your name? How are you? Me, my name is Julia. I am very good! Or, I am so-so. See you soon! I have school!
